We have left Opal Lady snug in a northern marina before jumping on a Qantas flight back to Newcastle to enjoy Christmas with the Family. We are now once again looking over beautiful Lake Macquarie from a different perspective . . . from a house perched on the ridge of Fishing Point.
The weather here at Fishing Point has been superb and we saw the New Year in watching the Wangi Wangi fireworks across the bay, and further south we were able to see more in the distance. Many boats were anchored below sheltering from the Noreasters that have blown most of the time. They weren’t there up north when we needed them!
